And now for something completely different….
And now, once again, here’s something completely different….
Thank you. In the next issue of BORED AMERICAN TRIBUNE:
- Jackson Williams & The Night Of The Irish Car Bombs: A Drunk Odyssey. Are you ready for a tale about the drunkest night of my life & the unbelievably fucked up things I did that night? Of COURSE you are!
- Lolita: The Movie (1962). As one of the world’s biggest Stanley Kubrick fans, I’d always felt sort of an inferiority complex for not having seen Lolita, his 1962 adaptation of the (still) incredibly controversial novel by Vladimir Nabokov. I’ve read the novel it’s based on — for the record: I think it’s one of the greatest novels ever written, and you should read it too, even if the subject matter makes you incredibly uncomfortable (which it most certainly will) — and now I’ve finally seen the Stanley Kubrick film, so I decided that I should probably write a review of it just to make up for my sins as a movie nerd.
